Simple Notions Case

This simple crocheted case is the perfect size for a few crochet hooks. Or, in my case, pencils, pens and an eraser for making notes on my patterns and designs. It fits nicely in my crochet bag and keeps my pens from drawing all over my projects.

Materials:
1 skein Bernat Handicrafter Cotton (Off White used in photo)
1 Size G/6 (4.25MM) Crochet Hook
1 Yarn Needle

Gauge: 4sts x 4 rows - 1"x1"

Finished Measurements: 6.75" x 3"

Abbreviations:
Ch - Chain
St - Stitch
Sl St - Slip Stitch
Sc- Single Crochet

Instructions:

Ch 26, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in all sts, turn, ch 1.
Repeat for 34 rows.
Bind off.

Fold the bottom up to the 9th row from the top and sew up the sides with a basic st. Turn inside out.

Attach a sl st to the middle of the flap and ch 53.
Sc in the 2nd ch from hook, sl st in the same st.
Bind off.

Enjoy!!

Double Your Warmth

I made this cowl last year during what I thought was the worst winter yet. Little did I know, it would be much worse this year. I love this cowl and it was my go-to scarf this year and I missed it whenever I switched to one of my other scarfs. The cowl looks just as good on the gents as it does on the ladies and is a must-have in any scarf collection.

It's a double layered, mobius cowl that can be folded down on warmer days, but is stiff enough to keep your face warmer during the colder days. It's a great pattern to do while watching TV as it's not overly complicated.

Get it here!! Your neck will thank you.

Ribbed Dress with Interchangable Straps

My latest design, a ribbed crochet dress that a made for a friends daughter. The dress can be worn as a halter, regular or criss-cross spaghetti straps. One of my favorite designs to date. I'm currently working on a shrug to go with it in a lavender color. Pattern can be downloaded at http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ribbed-dress-with-interchangeable-straps

Mitred Afghan

So I decided to start a crochet blog as I have been coming up with my own designs in my recent ample spare time. The first one is the Mitred Afghan. This pattern took me hours to write out and can be found on Ravelry.com. Hope you like it.
